Trinidad's Pitch Lake
Submitted by Amber on 2007-03-01 06:10:59 (via www.richard-seaman.com)
Have you heard of such an occurrence as the Pitch Lake? I have just read about it. It’ a pretty curious phenomena: a lake that is alive, gradually swallowing the things around in and then spitting and burping out the parts it doesn’t like.   More...

A Vacation in Las Vegas
Submitted by cleo on 2007-03-01 05:53:22 (via rchow.tripod.com)
Hmm, this is such a cool place to go for a vacation… Especially, when you get to stay in the Bellagio Hotel and, especially, when you get a room with the view of the fountains. You may have a chance to see James Bond, or Charlize Theron, or who knows, maybe, other people you will recognize, like, your father-in-law for example…

Driving to Russia: The First Time
Submitted by Adele on 2007-03-01 05:37:26 (via www.travelfurther.net)
Get an impression of what it meant to cross the Soviet Union border some year ago. It was much better then trying to get out, however. But suspicion ran in the blood of officials. It would not be easy to take a picture at the border and get away with it.

Submitted by pablo on 2007-03-01 02:04:18 (via www.craigandtina.com)
Do you believe in bad fortune? This couple has experienced a kind of bad luck while coming back from a trip in Morocco. And guess what the doubtful thing that grabbed the attention of the custom agents was? Some souvenirs – like a magic box, which was supposed to be filled with hash from Morocco.   More...

Who is the Monkey?
Submitted by kiwi on 2007-02-28 07:24:42 (via www.heldencrow.com)
Again, a very unusual perspective on some of the aspects of traveling to a country like Nepal. A perceptive mind will catch the bitter-sarcastic note describing the reality of life, touching on some people's attitudes and the deplorable state of things.

Cherrapunjee: Where Rain Is Measured In Feet
Submitted by lisa on 2007-02-27 08:54:24 (via www.indiatravelogue.com)
It is an article about the irony of the nature. Cherrapunjee, the wettest place on the earth, belief it or not, attracts tourists, too. And here it comes the irony. Seven days and it only rained 10 inches, and this is only by night. What is left to do in this case? – waking up at 3AM and with only a flashlight have the desired walk in the rain!   More...
