Alaska... Again
Submitted by Laurentzi on 2007-02-09 08:35:33 (via www.icdc.com)
Aside from being given a window seat without a window and getting a back seat on the bus, this is a great trip to Alaska!!! When hiking to Byron Glaciar everywhere around you will hear the sound of water flowing - down about 20 feet is the river. That’s scary, ‘cause if you fell in, you’d be swept away by the icy stream, never to be seen again… Uh!

Not Your Typical Hollywood Experience
Submitted by Adele on 2007-02-09 08:20:34 (via www.cultureconnect.com)
Did you ever dream to get to Hollywood some day? Maybe not, if you live somewhere close, or could do it easily anytime. But I did. Still do. And not just visiting. However, it seems in reality this is not as glamorous of a place as all imagine it to be. It’s rather a “cool” image maker!

Fear the Goat Boy
Submitted by cleo on 2007-02-09 07:39:14 (via www.heldencrow.com)
“There's something going on in the heart of Switzerland… Find out what the Swiss are hiding. Noone can be that calm. Nothing can be so well-ordered. Nowhere could be that dull." Well, it seems like a place of peace, calm, and natural beauty. Trains run on time. Everyone’s good-natured, open-minded and cheerful… “They're definitely up to something.”   More...

Bodie, California - The West's Best Ghost Town
Submitted by lisa on 2007-02-09 06:58:31 (via www.amwest-travel.com)
The hundreds of ghost towns strewn across the American West are an enduring reminder of the entrepreneurial spirit of Americans. Most of these towns started with the shout of "Gold!”. Bonie is one of them. A visit to Bodie today is a special experience. There are no interpretive signs in the town itself. It simply sits there, a true ghost town.

Africa Travelogue: Rwanda!
Submitted by bindero on 2007-02-09 06:45:54 (via www.odeo.net)
This article contains everything I would like to read about an African country. It’s all just so different and interesting there. Children staring at white men and running behind the car, crying “bottle!”, gorillas showing interest to cameras and farting so strong to delimitate the territory, traditional dances…Magnificent adventure!   More...

Haunted Malta
Submitted by christine on 2007-02-09 06:29:22 (via www.currybet.net)
So is Malta haunted by ghosts?-“When the picture began to appear there seemed to be something on it which had definitely not been there when he took the snap. A few more seconds of concentration, and he realized that there…was the figure of a headless girl, wearing a bridal gown”. It’s really shocking! And what is more amazing, it looks like truth!   More...

Tortoises and T-Shirts: Santa Cruz
Submitted by roxy on 2007-02-09 06:16:25 (via www.xenophilia.net)
The town of Puerto Ayora has a population of about 10,000 and is the commercial center of the Galapagos archipelago. But not this is the most relevant thing about the island. The giant tortoise breeding program is indeed something worth to be seen. Huge tortoises and bright red birds are everywhere, which makes the island look so spectacular…

Mongolia Eagle Hunting
Submitted by pablo on 2007-02-09 06:09:01 (via www.boojum.com)
Mongolia has always been kind of a white spot on the map for me. “It’s halfway around the world, across cultures, and back in time”. There is so little information about this country, so few tourists going there… Still, when reading this article, I more understood about the living style and the people’s philosophy. Quite intriguing!   More...

Journey to Taiwan, May 2002
Submitted by roxy on 2007-02-09 06:04:01 (via stason.org)
If you go to Taiwan, don’t miss a traditional Chinese massage. Here it's the man that do the massage and most of them are professional masseurs, compared to most amateur masseuses in Thailand which work in tourist places. Then, in the Wulai village you may see butterflies everywhere, like in the butterfly garden. Almost Paradise on the Earth!   More...

Loose Leaf Notes
Submitted by lisa on 2007-02-09 05:53:48 (via www.looseleafnotes.com)
Well, it took me a while read this, but it was worth it. I a lot appreciated the writing style, which determined me to write my own travel blogs. “At the ocean, I’m a girl again. Everything is brighter against the grey canvas of water, sand, and sky, and the world seems to open up like a shell ready to explore”…
