Keeping Time in Africa
Submitted by lisa on 2007-01-12 05:11:16 (via kabiza.com)
Another wonderful article about the African lifestyle and their sensitivity of living the moment. This is an article-comparison of the time perception of German, American, and Ugandan people. A touchy article about time, money and relationships.   More...

Tanzania’s Wildlife
Submitted by Laurentzi on 2007-01-12 05:01:07 (via softadventure.net)
“We were scared out of our wits when a Masai warrior, steel-tipped spear in hand, stepped from the shadows into the middle of the path in front of us. We stared at each other…” Ooh! Not good! Also, you will know what happens when a rhino and a elephant meet or when an elephant and a car meet. It matters, especially when you are in that car…

Holiday in Cambodia
Submitted by kiwi on 2007-01-12 04:43:43 (via www.slrobertson.com)
It's really impressing to read about the massive scale construction of Angkor Temples with a very intricate artwork in stone. Magnificent indeed. Some will recognize the Ta Phrom temple from Lara Croft: Tomb Raider. But mostly I’ve been touched and amazed by the Angkor children’s business and language skills…   More...

Istanbul is one of my favorite destinations. Being a European, the Asian culture has always fascinated me. The historical city center, the very hospitable people and the low prices make out of Istanbul a very attractive city. This article can help you better make an idea of what Istanbul is; it contains a lovely experience and adorable pictures.   More...

Ever Heard of Pitcairn Island?
Submitted by Amber on 2007-01-12 04:04:50 (via www.cristytrembly.com)
Only 2 square miles and 48 people. Imagine a place with no bills, mortgage payments, never a need to dress up, no schedule, no boss - it's incredible!! There's no crime, no gangs, no drugs, no poor people, everyone takes care of everyone… Wow! Wow! Wow! Sounds like paradise to me. And when I think of the bustling, stinky city I live in…   More...

It Takes A Village
Submitted by lisa on 2007-01-11 04:35:59 (via kabiza.com)
This article really shocked me. I have never thought of the African customs and values being so strong and so deeply implanted in every member of the community. Plus, the author’s fine perception of the African soul… it makes of this article a delicious piece to read.   More...

Mount Hagen: Feathers, Skeleton Dancers, and Mud Men
Submitted by kiwi on 2007-01-10 04:52:45 (via www.xenophilia.net)
Ever heard of this place? Uh! I don’t know how to describe this: fascinating, impressive, amusing stories and dances, but the burial rituals… just made me literally sick at my stomach. Oh, is there an end to human stupidity in this world! If you are like me don’t read the last paragraph – there is plenty of captivating stuff without that anyways.

Venice
Submitted by Adele on 2007-01-10 04:33:43 (via www.oldworldwandering.com)
I honestly liked this article. It has a note of sadness about it, but it also uses a very sophisticated style, which I truly value as a great talent on the part of the author. I must confess though, when in Venice, I have not taken the time to contemplate on its fate in connection with the history. I saw it more through romantic glasses…:o)   More...
