Submitted by Amber on 2006-12-28 01:56:49 (via www.traveladdicts.connectfree.co.uk)
Did you know that when you are around Niagara Falls even your hair will stand up? You know why? I know. But did you know, the falls can be completely stopped? I didn’t. And I didn’t know Canadians have such a strong sense of national pride… neither did I know that CN Tower with its thrilling attractions it's fun to visit. This is cool to read!

The Great Namche Pizza Conspiracy
Submitted by Laurentzi on 2006-12-28 01:43:55 (via photosbymartin.com)
Climbing Everest is not an easy task. Not many will resist the altitude and the rice and vegetable menu. So, you start dreaming about something else… maybe a pizza. Yes, a pizza! But then comes the dilema: which pizza is better???

You can’t tell the difference unless you discover the conspiracy behind it… I think this last part was made up;o).   More...

The Temples or Luxor and Karnak
Submitted by kiwi on 2006-12-28 01:33:38 (via www.edwebproject.org)
Never thought something like this exist: a construction of true grandeur with an astonishing colonnade and dozens of sphinx and heads of kinds lining the streets. But how it can go about without some adventure at the airport or on the bus - an incident like this will forever change the psyche of a border guy (smile). This happens.:)

New York City
Submitted by cleo on 2006-12-27 04:28:33 (via www.sauntering.com)
Click USA from the list, then New York City and read about the strangest, and perhaps most magical thing about New York, then there is the Guggenheim museum, that now looks like a giant toilet bowl, then the ethnic pockets scattered throughout: China Town, Little Korea, Little Italy and all of West Side Story live here. It was fun to read.

Cambodia Adventure
Submitted by roxy on 2006-12-26 05:04:32 (via www.break-fresh-ground.com)
“You buy from me later”. “Maybe”. “No maybe. You buy from me later, okay?”. That’s one way to do business; at least in Cambodia. But who cares, that place is too gorgeous to have these details matter. The Ankgor Wat is legendary for a reason, and the Tree Temple is a-w-e-s-o-m-e (this article’s got good pics of it). Check it out. No maybes!   More...

Somewhere in the Carribean - We're All Going to Die
Submitted by MeganL on 2006-12-22 09:32:54 (via www.meganlyles.com)
A harrowing tale of a near shipwreck in the Carribean, grippingly told. Makes the next few blog entries about the San Blas and Colombia all the sweeter given that we almost lost the writer and photographer!

Petra
Submitted by Laurentzi on 2006-12-22 08:35:39 (via www.david-guerrero.com)
Only the walking by Siq – the impressive defile - would be enough reason to come here to contemplate it. The facade of the Treasury, o Al-Khazneh - the place where "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" was filmed, and the Royal Tombs, but the most fascinating things in Petra is the color and the veins of the stone that cover the walls. Cool!

Nagorno Karabagh
Submitted by cleo on 2006-12-22 08:03:41 (via www.pilotguides.com)
Ever heard of Nagornii Karabach? I’ve heard of it on the news many years ago. And now, a poor place, forgotten even by God. The country is ruined even though the war ended 10 years ago. But read this: in the middle of nowhere, in the middle of the night, on the war zone, four guys taking a bath in a warm geyser and drinking wine… Crazy!   More...
