Women/Female Travelers in Turkey
Submitted by Adele on 2006-11-10 04:04:24 (via www.turkeytravelplanner.com)
So, can single women travel to Turkey and be safe? I wish I’ve read it before going there, however, I have to agree with all it says: most Turkish men are extremely polite – quite a surprise to me. But it’s good to know some subtleties, so that when you say "Get lost!" to him, it won’t have the effect of making you seem even more attractive ;O)

Climbing in New Zealand
Submitted by cleo on 2006-11-10 03:28:29 (via www.gdargaud.net)
Incredible! These guys are truly extreme adventurers: long and diversified trips, climbing the rocky Elie de Baumont and Malte Brun and then the scenic route to the top of the icy Mt. Cook. Alongside, strange spherical formations, obnoxious keas rock attacks, sharks and whales and finally the Mt. Tasman. This is worth reading.   More...

The Beauty of Brazil
Submitted by cleo on 2006-11-09 05:00:56 (via www-sop.inria.fr)
A country of contrasts between the pure deserts and intense urbanization, exuberant wealth and extreme poverty. You will remain fascinated with the ancient and majestic buildings of Ouro Preto and the luxurious vegetation surrounding the spectacular waterfalls, where discovering the exotic local animals is a must.

My First Trip to India
Submitted by cleo on 2006-11-09 03:54:03 (via www.redbeet.com)
“I could not get enough of it, says Kelly, the fantastic beaches of Goa, Jaipur filled with much color, culture, and, unfortunately, air pollution. In Udaipur I saw a camel exhale cigarette smoke and the traditional Indian wedding became one of the real highlights of the trip”. What an awesome experience! I want there too!   More...

The Amazing Antarctica
Submitted by roxy on 2006-11-09 02:05:44 (via www.dcrimages.com)
If you ever decide to visit Antarctica, don’t be surprised to hear weird noises – it’s just some chunks of ice you’re sailing into. And you should know it’s OK to cruise through channels full of icebergs: it’s all worth eventually, when you’re greeted by penguins, seals and whales. Sounds matchless and fun! Good luck with your trip back home.

The Lesotho Experience
Submitted by roxy on 2006-11-09 01:40:15 (via www.the-world-in-focus.com)
Discover this unique country with many things to surprise you: friendly people, reasonable prices, together with a lack of fences (!), and blanket wearing villagers. Indeed, people wear wool blankets for helping to keep the body at an even temperature constantly. It’s impossible to come back from Lesotho without getting one for yourself!
