| No matter how much you hate a “package” travel experience, when in Kenya it might be the only option to see the wild life and it may turn out not too bad after all. Don’t be surprised of the libertine behavior of the animals – they are at their home in the wilderness and don’t care about your opinion.

| What an interesting way of crossing the border… well, not a surprise for me anymore. But it’s even more amazing how thing have changed the next day… And who would think a white woman, hiking through the jungle, would be such a rarity for a Liberian village.

| Meet Daouda Mbengue, one the most respected men in the village of Sindou in Senegal, West Africa. When an untrained volunteer arrived from the U.S., he looked beyond her poor language skills, her unskilled hands, and her queasy stomach. He saw that her heart wanted to help, and he made it possible.

| Do you know the meaning of the name of Victoria Falls in the local dialect? It is named Mosi-Oa-Tunya – "The Smoke That Thunders". That is because not only the river Zambezi pours over a cliff, but actually pours into a hole caused by a rift. The water then exits at the bottom through a channel, continuing its way further down. Splendid view!

| Mlilwane nature reserve is a place where humans and animals are combined as a whole one. Every element of this picture only adds value to the whole system, and even 4x4 are seen here as an indispensable element, like for example, zebras and rhinos.

| Here a very nice overview of a trip to Zambia with some information about hotels where you can stay. But there’s one thing you learn quickly in Zambia and Tanzania, if you ask if there is hot water, the reply is usually, 'yes' - but it doesn't mean that your room is connected to same!

| What an experience! To observe the total eclipse of the sun from the middle of the Saharan Desert! You cannot see it every day and nothing compares to the feeling that you get when it becomes suddenly dark in the middle of the day and the temperature drops with 7-8 degrees during 1 minute. Terrific!

| Although is more about a day spend with people, Tika was an important figure still. The experiences, moments, lessons, laughter, surprises she helped experience are countless. And priceless.
