A trip to the jungle at Chitwan National Park
Submitted by pablo on 2007-05-25 05:12:34 (via azeotropic.freeservers.com)
A dozen extreme insect bites with huge itchy welts on the body... Nice souvenirs from the jungle:) Still, a trip to the jungle at Chitwan is a very nice experience: elephant riding, bird watching and tigger spotting are only a few of the activities that one can do there.

Have you heard of the Lake of the Pregnant Maiden? Legend says that a white crocodile lives in the lake and that any female bathing in the magic waters will bear children… How can one know? Even if this doesn’t happen it is a exquisitely beautiful place to visit.

Kyoto
Submitted by Adele on 2007-05-18 03:56:21 (via canadiancarlsons.com)
The Japanese game that rules in Kyoto seems to be very simple but more popular - most of the 'American style' racing and shooting games went unused. Another thing is that this place has more then 2000 temples…   More...

In Bali with Kids
Submitted by Adele on 2007-05-16 11:21:08 (via canadiancarlsons.com)
“Padangbai Beach Inn would have been much nicer, if the ceiling fan didn't squeak (loudly), if the rooms had included top bed sheets and toilet paper, and if Sarah wasn't sick on the first night from something she ate.” But the Blue Lagoon nearby is a great reward, especially if your kids love snorkeling.

Some of India and Nepal
Submitted by kiwi on 2007-05-14 03:33:08 (via www.mindspring.com)
“Most travelers will tell you that they either loved or hated India. While it is admittedly a squalid, crowded, difficult place to travel, it was nevertheless one of the most exotic, colorful, and rewarding parts of my journey.” Short and at the same time highlighting the most worth seeing things, without hiding the reality.

In the Land of Buthan
Submitted by Amber on 2007-05-14 03:10:49 (via www.smallbagbigworld.com)
“Bhutan -- known also as "the land of the thunder dragon," but could just as easily be nicknamed, "land of the howling dogs", "land of the chili pepper", "land of the photo-op", or "land of butter products". We were thrilled to be finally in such a relaxing place.” And reading this I was impressed to learn about the way children behave there.

The New India
Submitted by lisa on 2007-05-11 04:38:53 (via journals.worldnomads.com)
The India’s “WOW” factor drives people no matter how many times they visited it before. “Even in the centre of the cities you can see people that looked like they’ve just walked out of the Old Testament. Drivers can and do pull out into the road, even major highways, without a signal or even bothering to look in their mirror”. Sounds promising:).   More...

Cockfighting in Manila
Submitted by Amber on 2007-05-04 11:24:55 (via www.rhymer.net)
Wow! Cockfighting is the national sport of the Philippines! I didn’t know that. Have you heard of it? It’s cruel, if you think of the razor-sharp blades tied to their legs by a ‘gaffer’. Unbelievable!
