Bush Camp Safaris (Pty) Ltd. (View Company Profile)
Editor's Note: Bush Camp Safaris (Pty) Ltd. has been working with
InfoHub since December 1999. We recently talked to Eric Birkenstock at Bush Camp Safaris about his company and his experience of working with InfoHub.
1. How long has your business been operating, and
how did it start up?
We bought the company Bush Camp Safaris (Pty) Ltd in April, 1999 and have been operating it since then. Having operated in Botswana since 1975 in various different tourism related operations, and then subsequently in Malawi and Zambia, many of our old clients wanted to visit Botswana again. This is how we came to obtain this company.
2. What are the main attractions of your activity in the area you
Botswana is one of the few southern African countries where there is plenty of space and where animals can roam freely in their natural habitat. The Okavango Delta is also the biggest inland delta in the World and also the biggest Ramsar site in the World where the natural order still prevails. This makes for wonderful game viewing and being part of nature.
3. What unique features do you offer?
As a mobile safari operator we have the privilege of camping deep in the heart of the Okavango Delta. Not many other mobile operators have this advantage as this is this mainly the domain of the luxury lodges. Although we camp out on safari our friendly staff sets up all campsites and prepares all the meals. Our visitors can enjoy their safari without having to partake in camp chores. This is all provided at a very reasonable rate.
4. What do your customers appreciate in you the most?
From feedback we have from our customers it seems that they appreciate the extra effort made by our staff to make their safari comfortable and enjoyable. They also appreciate the fact that all aspects of the safari have been taken care of beforehand and that they can simply enjoy their safari.
5. You have been an InfoHub partner since February 1998. How would
you describe your experience of working with InfoHub?
It has been a pleasure working with InfoHub since 1999.
6. You have been quite successful in converting InfoHub referrals
into bookings. Our records show that you have been paying InfoHub
$10 for each referral. How would you explain your success? How do you follow up with the referrals InfoHub
8. Is there anything else you'd like our visitors to know about your business?
I try to respond to any query as soon as possible. I also try to provide accurate information while also offering assistance with any other aspect of their travel. Personal attention is given to each customer.
Our safaris are designed for small groups of no more than 6 persons to a safari vehicle. This ensures an intimate experience with nature and the African bush.
