Kansas Vacations

“Every Kansas farmer feeds 75 people – and you” are the signs you’ll see on the highways to Kansas. What the signs don’t add is that this State is historically interesting and a great area to learn about the “Wild West”! In the downtown of Dodge City the Boot Hill Museum is full of items relating to the city’s early history and has recreated Front Street where “gunfights” take place every day. Visit the Gunfighters Wax Museum Dodge City to see Wyatt Earp, Davey Crockett and the James brothers, among other wax statues. Just outside Lebanon stand beside the monument marking the geographic center of the contiguous United States and see the fossils in Sternberg Museum to be reminded that the region was once a vast inland sea.
