Calling Nepal “the roof of the world” isn’t an exaggeration as this beautiful country is officially the highest on earth. Climb to the Base Camp in Mount Everest – or go on if you are an experienced climber. For the less adventurous, take the scenic Annapurna Circuit which offers stupendous mountain views. Visit the Siddha Gufa, the largest cave in Nepal and gaze in awe at the incredible rock formations. Go on a safari – either in a vehicle or on the back of an elephant in Chitwan National Park. Wander round the many beautiful temples in Kathmandu and take a trip to Lumbini where Gautama Buddha was born. Shop for souvenirs in the Gorkha Bazaar and in Patan City’s many craft shops.
