Nova Scotia Vacations

Nova Scotia consists of a very large peninsula & Cape Breton Island. Scottish settlers brought their culture and traditions with them and they remain today. While you are here don’t forget to try the region’s fresh lobster and scallops. Nova Scotia has many miles of beautiful coastline and a lot of lakes and rivers. Visit Tobeatic Wilderness and Southwest Nova Biosphere Reserve which is the biggest protected wilderness area in Canada. Take a trip to Brier Island in the Bay of Fundy for whale and bird watching opportunities and see the large seal colony. You can also hunt for quartz, agate jasper, amethyst and even zeolite in the strange rock formations. The adventurous can go tidal bore rafting, riding the tidal bore waves of the world’s highest tides.
