Our Language School, established in 1993 in the heart of Galway city, is a premium choice English Language School. Recognized and accredited by the Irish Government’s Department of Education and Science, our School has established an often remarked on reputation for its friendly and personal atmosphere, its internationally mixed classes and its attention to high academic standards of English teaching.
Being situated in the West of Ireland, the traditions of providing a warm and hearty welcome are important at Atlantic Language Galway. So too is the unique culture of the West which offers much to explore and visit giving students the valuable opportunity of taking their learning from the classroom to the outside world, practicing their skills in English while enjoying what the West of Ireland has to offer, ensuring that time spent at our Language School will be time well spent.
Each member of our Language School team commit themselves to their roles in the areas of teaching, registration, accommodation, administration and marketing.
Our teachers are university graduates who have special qualifications to teach English as a foreign language. Many members of the teaching staff have extensive academic and general experience stretching over many years from teaching in Ireland and in other countries.
Because our school has small class sizes it is possible for teachers to individually know each student and to have an interest in their learning experiences and an awareness of their particular needs.
The Student Welfare Officer is available to students daily to ensure that the school can maintain a personal contact with students and offer a point of contact for questions or for assistance. Social, cultural and other activity programs are also co-ordinated by the Student Welfare Officer.
The school’s Accommodation Managers are also on hand to help with any questions that students may have regarding accommodation or living in Ireland
To ensure that students can have an exceptional experience we organize weekly social and cultural events which include:
Guided walking tours of Galway city
Day tours to discover the stunning scenery of the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren, Aran Islands, Connemara, Bunratty Castle
