As a Spanish learner, you are aware of the importance of the Spanish language in the world. It is the third most spoken language (after Mandarin Chinese and English), so being proficient in Spanish will enable you to communicate with almost 500 million people worldwide!
With our six weeks´ summer program with four hours of class a day, you will be able to develop language skills gradually and with regard to your original level: written comprehension, oral comprehension, written expression and oral expression. Your intial level will be determined by a test on the first day of the course.

Our objective is not only to teach you how to dominate the language, but to impart an understanding of our habits, traditions, our way of thinking and our way of living. Therefore, you will be living with a Spanish family and taking part in various excursions and cultural activities.
Salamanca is situated in Castile-Leon, the region where the standard Spanish accent is spoken, therefore it is the perfect place to study Spanish. Salamanca has the advantages of a big city with the atmosphere of a small town: orientation is easy and you will feel at home quickly. The nightlife is very lively, as there are approximately 25,000 students living in Salamanca. In 2002, the city was honored as "UNESCO World Heritage City" for its architectural and artistic wealth.
At the end of the summer, you will go home with more confidence in speaking Spanish, new memorable experiences and new friends from all over the world.

As part of their responsibilities the teachers of our university offer tutorials outside of class for those students who want to ask about any aspect of the course. What's more, the teachers meet regularly to keep track of their students' progress, because our objective is always the best quality of teaching.

In addition, the university attempts to introduce students to the wide cultural diversity of not only Salamanca but also of the entire Iberian Peninsula, where you can participate in organized excursions and cultural activities.
Facility Information:
Our classrooms and facilities reflect our philosophy of teaching: pleasant and bright setting for small groups (12 students maximum), with multimedia equipment, a computer lab with internet connection access and a room for showing films and documentaries. The School provides free internet access to its students.
