Our company provides walking tours throughout NYC since 2002. We are a member of NYC&Co, a member of GANYC-the Guide Association of NYC. The tour guide is a native New Yorker her goal is to impart her love of NY to you and take you to places that are unique to New York – especially places that you would not believe exist in NY. Places like Washington Mews, Patchin Place - Sniffen Court-Mixed Ale Alley - City Island in the Bronx and the gardens beyond the doorways of the fabulous brownstones and town houses.
Experience the surprise of happening upon a spot that you would not believe is NY. Go beyond the hustle and bustle and the anonymity one associates with NY. Get to know that the neighborhoods of New York are unique and provide the “small town” ambiance one does no associate with the city.
Susan has had a lifelong interest in history (Hunter College BA in History) and in people (MSW-Rutgers) and eating, and shopping, and art, and architecture, and a natural curiosity. Through her tours she combines her interests and provides a unique experience for you.
Whether we are wondering the streets of Greenwich Village or Arthur Ave in the Bronx or City Island - the fishing village in the Bronx or the Lower East side or Chinatown at the end of the tour you should to feel, like you have been squired around the city by a friend or a relative not a tour guide.
Learn a little of this and a little of that as we stroll along east Broadway from Seward Park to Chatham Square. Explore the streets of New York's Chinese and Jewish Immigrants. See one of New York City's oldest burial grounds, the Settlement House that transformed many immigrants into U.S. citizens. We will visit several historical synagogues as well as the Church of the Transfiguration, 1st Chinese Presbyterian Church and Sung Tak Buddhist Temple. Other stops will include Mott Street, 5 Points and Canal St. Tour is approximately 2 Hours.
