I am an experienced licensed guide in Budapest and Hungary offering quality personal Walking and Driving Tours (Toyota Corolla, air-conditioned).
My tours are self-tailored, following the interests of my guests. In Budapest I recommend after the General city tours special interest tours and in Hungary a lot of destinations. You will see that Hungary is truly cultured, truly European and I also believe that it preserved its cultural and folk heritage better than many other countries, where developement has swept the past away.
- Budapest 4-Hour Walking Tour: If you love walking, beside the most important sights we can see very nice local quiet places, we can stop to look into gorgeous Courtyards and have a rest in parks with the locals. Do not worry, we will cheat: you will need a few tram tickets. We will walk around in the Pedestrian Zone then using the oldest subway on the continent (everybody has to see it) and streetcars running on the bank of the river you will see nearly everything mentioned in the driving tour. Price per tour: Euro 85 (For groups above 4 persons Euro 105).
- Budapest 4-Hour Driving Tour: You will see the highlights of the city: first we will drive up to the top of the Gellért Hill to see the most beautiful panorama, and then we drive around Pest to see the boulvards and avenues, famous spas, the Central Market Hall, the Andrássy Avenue, the Opera House and the House of Terror. We will walk around the Heroes' Square and in the City Park. You will see the Great Synagogue, the Jewish district and the St. Stephen Basilica; usually we visit one of them. The next stop is at the Parliament and then we continue across the Margaret Bridge to Buda up the Castle District to see the Royal Palace, the Matthias Church and Fishermen's Bastion. From here you can take a picture of the riverscape with the Chainbridge. Price per tour: Euro 130.
- Budapest 8-Hour Walking or Driving Tours: Beside the highlights you will see less touristic Hidden Treasures too and visit some of these beautiful sights inside (the Parliament, the National Gallery in the Royal Palace, the Dohány street Synagogue, the Central Market, the Museum of Fine Arts, the Museum of Applied Arts, and the Széchenyi Bath etc.). Price: Walking tour Euro 150, Driving tour 180.
In Budapest the best if you book a 4-hour general and a 4-hour special interest tour from the following:
- Jewish District;
- Art and Architecture Tour;
- Bp at Night (2-Hour Drive);
- Statue Park Tour;
- Hidden Treasures in the Suburbs;
- Family Tour.
- Countryside 4-Hour Driving Tours (Price: Euro 130);
* Szentendre, town of artists: The town has a picturesque setting on the Danube, with a Mediterranean feel, winding lanes, seven church towers, colourful houses, several galleries and warm cafés. We will visit the Greek Ortodox church, the Jewish Memorial House and Margit Kovács Museum.Very good opportunity for shopping (hundreds of small shops) or buying some sweet in the famous Marzipan Museum.
* Gödöllö, royal town:We will visit the beautifully restored Royal Palace, favourit residence of Queen Elisabeth, wife of Franz Joseph, Emperor of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy. It’s the largest baroque palace in the world.There is a wonderful garden around the palace. We will have a coffee in a little local café.

* Szentendre and Skanzen: Szentendre (see above) is home to the first and largest open-air village museum in Hungary in a beautiful valley. This park displays all the regions in the form of original buildings typical of their area. Many of them were carefully dismantled and rebuilt here;
* Szentendre and Visegrád: First we visit Szentendre and its sights and then we drive to Visegrád, it is to the north from Szentendre. Visegrad Castle used to be residence of the Hungarian kings and has interesting exhibitions. From here you can have a picturesque view of the Danube Bend.
