Corcovado Mountain (Christ Statue). Visitation. Take the train or drive up.
Pão de Açúcar (Sugar Loaf Mountain) and Vermelha beach. Visitation. Cable-car ride and optional stroll.
Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas (Lagoon). Drive and possibility to stop for a stroll and refreshments.
Santa Teresa District (Old Town). Drive and possibility to stop for lunch or dinner.
Jardim Botânico (Botanical Garden). Drive by; entrance is optional but highly recommended.
Parque Lage (Lage Park). Also highly recommended. Not as big as the botanical garden but entrance is free.
Maracanã Football Stadium. Drive around; entrance is optional.
Floresta da Tijuca (Tijuca Forest). We drive or take the train through it on the way to the statue of Christ.

Copacabana, Ipanema, Arpoador, Leblon, Botafogo (Bay), Flamengo (Reclaim Area and Park).
São Conrado (Also where the biggest slum in Latin America is located)
