A typical Hiking Tour takes 2 to 4 weeks and takes in the tremendous diversity of New Zealand's landscapes: primeval forests, wild coastlines, magnificent mountains, spectacular fiords and glaciers.
Participants hike 3-4 hours on average each day, with some longer walks up to 6 hours. Guides provide interpretation on New Zealand's unique flora and fauna, landforms, glaciology, natural and cultural heritage. Transport is provided in a comfortable 14-seater air-conditioned coach. Accommodation is in holiday appartments or hotels, except for two nights spent in a private mountain hut.
