Afternoon visit to Hautvillers, the birthplace of champagne, and tasting in a small grower champagne house. Drive down the Avenue de Champagne and return to Reims. This itinerary can be changed to suite you.
The small grower champagnes from the Aube have become very popular. You may know Drappier or Serge Mathieu. Come and visit them and the other splendid champagne houses here. Troyes is worth a day trip from Paris. Its a French equivalent of Chester or York and has many fine museums.
