Not lucky enough to be born in New Zealand however found the place when I came here on an Agricultural exchange in 1974…and after graduating from Agricultural College in Scotland I returned in 1977. After farming for a short while I became involved in hotel management in Queenstown and Auckland before buying and operating my own bakery coffee shop in Christchurch for 5 years. Upon selling that I went to live in Japan for 5 years to learn the language with my young family and now operate my own inbound travel company catering largely for the Japanese market. However it is my pleasure to guide and host people of all nationalities around the central South Island and Christchurch in particular. With the vagaries of our weather I find a flexible schedule basing ourselves in Christchurch is the best modus operandi. This way we don’t need to be staying in Mt Cook when the North West wind is lashing the mountains unable to see any scenery or sitting in Kaikoura whilst a Southerly beats the sea to a foam and prevents any sea tours. We can nearly always be in the right place at the right time actively engaged in the right activity. My vehicle seats 9 clients. However am able to arrange charters of various reliable vehicles to suit clients wishes or groups size. Sightseeing tours including, garden, whale watching, swim with dolphins, hot spring trips, Tranz Alpine train, wineries and hiking. In addition special interests such as golf, skiing, tennis, gardening, fishing and cooking are also catered for. I can assist clients to enjoy New Zealand, making sure they can do what they want to do when here in New Zealand. I am based here in Canterbury and born in Canonbie Scotland and Japanese people who are my main client base like to Cankou. Should clients wish to stay in a typical New Zealand house with a kiwi who speaks Japanese with an organic vegetable and herb garden as well as a hot house. My home is 5 minutes from the airport and 7 minutes from the Cathedral so I am very conveniently located in the suburb of Papanui.
