Join up on one of Rippled Earths personalised kayak tours, owned and managed by a Qualified Eclolgist so you know you are going to get a good account New Zealands real fauna and flora and why its so special. Twice daily I run kayak tours onto Pigion and Pig islands near Queenstown, set aside as conservation reserves these islands are stunning displays of what New Zealand may have been like long before people first arrived here, with stunning views of snow capped mountains all year round, you can lie on the beach in the sun looking up at the glaciers high up in the national park only a few kilometers away. After refreshments we'll soon be back on our way winding along the forested shores as the birds sing greetings as you pass. A 4.5 hr trip from Queenstown suitable for all ages except the little ones under 8yrs old.
After a hectic day in town come out to Glenorchy and join me on a leisurely paddle across the head of the lake, quietly cruising passed the Rees and Dart rivers while even keeping your feet dry! We'll stop for dinner at Kinloch Lodge, all pre-arranged and prepared by the chef sit down and relax on the deck as the evening comes in. Once you've enjoyed your dinner its back into the kayaks and set off back to Glenorchy as the last of the sun sets on the snow capped peaks of Mt Aspiring National park.
