We provide our guests with traditional Hopi hospitality and look forward to hosting you here in our ancient homeland. Tours are led by a professional Hopi anthropologist who provides in-depth interpretations and understandings of Hopi cultural traditions and history. Walking tours of Hopi villages located on towering sandstone mesas, an educational museum, beautiful traditional Hopi arts and crafts as well as petroglyph sites with hundreds of ancient symbols are just part of the exciting tour offerings. We also can provide cultural presentations, Hopi artisan demonstrations and traditional food meals for your unique experience at Tuuwanasavi, The Center of the World. We can provide transportation or step-on guides to accomodate your tour request. We are family, pet and senior friendly.
Our tours are based on the Hopi Indian reservation as well as tours from the Moenkopi District Reservation near Tuba City, AZ. There are a variety activities and places to experience including walking tours of Hopi villages, traditional dry farmlands & crops, arts and crafts galleries, Hopi museum, terraced gardens and springs, natural areas and petroglyph sites to name a few. There are also various Hopi ceremonies and dances which may be open to our visitors at different times of the year. We extend this special opportunity and services to our tour guests with a culturally-sensitive approach and work towards keeping the trust and respect of the Hopi villages and people. Our service is delivered to share insights, wisdom and values that have enabled the Hopi people to endure and survive in a challenging environmental climate. As a traditional cultural practitioner and fluent Hopi speaker I offer you our own perspectives and knowledge handed down over generations so that we can continue to gain understanding and respect for native traditions, languages and people worldwide. We are a Hopi tribal member owned & operated small business and supports the local community through non-profit activities such as youth education, Hopi language classes, agriculture and volunteerism.
