Your Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival Day.
Transfer from Rome airport to Chiusi by train.
Pick up in minibus and transfer to San Casciano dei Bagni (2 hrs).
Day 2 Freedom Day in San Casciano dei Bagni
Walk to Mount Cetona through beautiful pine forests.
Relax in the outdoor spa complex and visit the medieval town.Day 3 San Casciano to Bagno Vignoni (30 miles)Today's ride will bring you to the spa village of Bagno Vignoni, passing by timeless Radicofani and Contignano.
Day 4 Freedom Day in Bagno Vignoni
Walk to the impressive tower of Rocca d'Orcia.
Stroll to the neighbouring village of San Quirico d'Orcia.
Day 5 Bagno Vignoni to Montalcino (25 miles)
Onwards to Renaissance Pienza, then to the famous town of Montalcino.
Day 6 Freedom Day in Montalcino
Visit the picturesque Romanesque abbey church of Sant' Antimo.
Local bus to Siena and its beautiful cathedral.
Day 7 Montalcino to Buonconvento (25 miles)
Descend through the vineyards and olive groves to the fortified village of Murlo and then finishing at the charming villa overlooking Siena.
Day 8 Freedom Day in Buonconvento
Visit the town's beautiful monastery of Monte Oliveto Maggiore.
Walk to the charming village of Murlo.
Day 9 Buonconvento to Montisi (22 miles)
The last day brings you through wonderful scenery to the towns of Asciano and Montisi.
Day 10 Freedom Day in Montisi
Visit the impressive stone castle of medieval Trequanda with its lovely outdoor swimming pool.
Pedal across to the charming village of Castelmuzio and the monastery of Sant' Anna.
Day 11 Departure Day.
Transfer to Chiusi by minibus and train to Rome/ Florence airport (3 hrs).
