Your Itinerary

Day 1:
Arrive at Kotoka International Airport Accra. You will be met by a NALOCKTravel tour guide who will check you into your hotel.

Day 2:
Tour of Ghana's capital Accra. This will cover the Makola Market, which is the central trading place in the country, then the Arts and Crafts centre and the National Museum.

Day 3:
Travel to Ghana's old capital - Cape Coast. You will visit Cape Coast Castle. The remaining days in Cape Coast will be spent at Cape Coast village.

Day 4:
Spend the day at Cape Coast village.

Day 5:
Visit Kakum National Park, where you will experience the famous Canopy Walk. Then enjoy the sounds of the Bamboo Orchestra at Masamagor. Finally browse the products available at the local craft villages.

Day 6:
Travel to Kumasi, home of Ghana's ancient Ashanti kingdom. Day at the Ashanti King's palace (Manhye Palace), museum and grounds. Special opportunity to meet members of the Ashanti royal family.

Day 7:
Lessons in Kente Weaving at the Bonwire Kente Weaving village. Then onto Kumasi's Kejetia Market (the biggest market in West Africa). Spend the evening at a funeral ceremony. Funeral ceremonies are a large part of Ashanti culture. They are always grand occasions and a visit to Kumasi is not complete without attending a funeral ceremony which is open to the general public.

Day 8:
Spend the day in an Ashanti village. In the evening, enjoy traditional entertainment with cultural dancers and musicians.

Return to Accra. Night out in Osu, Ghana's "Las Vegas".

Free day. Spend some time at Labadi Pleasure Beach.
