Painting courses 3rd–10th September and 8th-15th October 2005. One Week Painting Holiday in Montisi. All levels welcomed including non-painting partners.

Stay in a beautifully restored and spacious home in the heart of Montisi, in southern Tuscany. The house has been completely re-modelled by the American owner-architect, with comfort in mind, including central heating and efficient services. Each double bedroom has en-suite bathroom, and there is a large and comfortable sitting room where you can gather around the open fireplace. There is a well-fitted kitchen, where you can make your own breakfast, or if you prefer you can cross the road to the bar and have breakfast with the villagers. The garden features a loggia surrounded by mature fruit trees and a herb garden. The house faces south and has stunning views over the valley to the hill town of Castelmuzio, with Pienza and the 5000 ft Monte Amiata in the distance. Maximum group size is 12 people.

The Painting course
Liz Graham-Yooll has taught at all levels including beginners, art students and experienced painters. She studied painting in Florence under Patrick Hamilton and Signorina Simi, after working as a graphic designer in London. She is a full-time painter and childrens book illustrator, and works from her studio in Montisi. In the week that you paint with her you will establish your own working pattern with the use of sketch books and painted studies. Fast painters will complete at least one painting, and all will leave with the basis for several paintings that they may wish to complete on their return home.
