Your Itinerary

Day 1:
Your summer in New England USA Coastal tour begins today when you leave your home city today and fly to Manchester, New Hampshire. Here you will be greeted in the luggage area by a tour rep from New England Vacation Tours Inc. Your lodging this evening will be at the Holiday Inn downtown in Manchester, New Hampshire. This evening you will be treated to a welcome to New England USA dinner at the Holiday Inn.

Day 2:
Today we will board our deuxe motorcoach and head southeast to the Mystic, Connecticut area. Our first stop will be Olde Sturbridge Village; the entire village is typical of the 1800's with more than 40 houses, shops and public buildings that vividly recreate the early American era. This afternoon we shall visit Groton, Ct the submarine base, and home of the USS Nautilus Submarine.This afternoon we shall we shall have time to explore and tour the USS NAUTILUS SUBMARINE.Our lodging this evening is the Ramada Inn,in Norwich, Conneticut.This evening we shall visit the worlds largest casino,Foxwoods Casino,Foxwoods casino is located in Ledyard,Conneticut,on the Mashantucket Indian Reservation,with over 4,500 slot machines and over 350 table games,from Black Jack to Poker,CRAPS,Roulett and Baccarat.A dinner buffet is included this evening and will be served at your own convenience right at Foxwoods Casino.

Day 3:
AS we ceck out of our hotel and southeast to the beautiful port city of Newport,Rhode Island. NEWPORT,RHODE Island is better known as the Americas Cup City and home of millionaire row. Lunch is on your own today and can be purchased right in downtown Newport,Rhode Island.Early this afternoon we shall visit the tour Hammersmith Farms,built in 1887 by John W.Auchincloss.In 1953 John F.Kennedy was married at Hammersmith Farms; this was the official summer White House from 1961 to 1963 while John F. Kennedy was Prsident of the United States of America.Latter on this afternoon we shall visit and tour "THE BREAKERS" a beautiful mansion located on Ochrre Point Avenue,over looking the bay. The Breakers was built in 1845 for Cornelius Vanderbelt,it was designed by Richard Morris Hunt and resembles 16th century Northern Italian palaces and the grounds overlook the Atlantic Ocean and CliffWalk.Our lodging for the next two nights will be in Cape Cod and our dinner is included once again this evening.

Day 4:
This morning we shall sail away to the storybook island of Martha's Vineyard aboard the Island Queen...relax with sea and sky and wind on a delightful 40-mintue cruise across the sparking waters of Vineyard Sound. Once we arrive in Martha's Vineyard at Oak Bluffs, we will have a 1 1/2 hour bus tour of this beautiful and spectacular island. You will discover a gentler civilization when you visit the fabled island of Martha's Vineyard. Oak Bluffs, where we land with its Victorian gingerbread cottages colony...Edgartown,once the whaling capital of the world, preserved as it was then. Late this afternoon we shall sail back to the mainland aboard the Island Queen.

Day 5:
This morning we shall visit America's hometown, Plymouth, Massachusetts...the birthplace of America. Today we shall see Plymouth Rock, where the pilgrims first stepped onto the New World (America). then you will have time to visit and tour the Mayflower II docked at State pier in Plymouth Harbor. The Mayflower II was built full size and recreates a typical 17th century merchant vessel. The Mayflower II was built in 1955 and sailed across the Atlantic in 1957. This afternoon we shall visit Boston, Massachusetts the birthplace....of America. This afternoon we shall have a city tour of Boston, and travel along the Freedom Trail and see such sites as; The First Church of Christ Scientist "Mother Church", Old North Church, Fenway Park, Cheers, and so much more. We will end our tour of historical downtown Boston with a visit and tour of the USS Constitution which is more affectionately known as "Old Ironsides" the oldest commissionable ship in the U.S. Navy fleet today. Our lodging this evening is at The King's Grant Inn.

Day 6:
This morning we shall visit Craggy Cape Ann, Gloucester, Massachusetts, a world recognized fishing port on the waterfront. We shall see the famous Gloucester Fisherman Statue, a memorial to the thousands who have lost thier lives at sea. It was here that Gloucester resident and fisherman; Clarence Birdseye invented quick-freezing food in 1925 changing the eating habits of our entire nation. Join us this morning for an exciting day out on the sea observing nature's gentle giants, Whale Watching Tour. This morning we shall sail off to Stellwagen Bank and Jeffrey's Ledge. Two great feeding grounds and plentiful feeding grounds for the gentle giants. Time permitting this afternoon, we shall visit and tour the romantic artist colony of Rockport, Massachusetts. Our lodging this evening will be at The Village By The Sea Inn in Wells Beach, Maine. This evening you will be treated to a downeast lobster clambake dinner with all the trimmings.

Day 7:
This morning, we shall visit and tour the beautiful rocky coast of Maine. One of our first stops this morning will be the beautiful port town of Kennebunkport, Maine (The summer home of ex-president George W. Bush) Later on this morning we will work our way down along the coast of Maine along the scenic route # 1 and visit a variety of Maine's townships. Late this afternoon we shall visit Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Here we shall visit Strawbery Banke Museum, which traces over 300 years of history in one of America's oldest continuously occupied neighborhood. The 10 acre-site with its more than 40 preserved and interpreted buildings, presents the full span of an important seaport history. Our lodging this evening will be back at the Hoilday Inn in downtown Manchester, New Hampshire. A farewell dinner is planned for this evening.

Day 8:
This morning at your own convenience you may check out of your hotel and take one of the hotel courtesy vans back to the airport to make your return flights home.
