Elliot Framan has been an active traveler and photographer his entire life. As such, he has combined travel photography, fine art photography, and commercial assignments. His images were taken throughout the United States, Europe, Russia, Mexico, Costa Rica, Israel and other locations. Initially working in Cibachrome (now Ilfachrome) he switched to black and white film photography using medium and large format cameras.
During this time he studied with many well known expert photographer/printers, several of whom assisted, learned, and developed under Ansel Adams. Using this expertise as a base, Elliot has embraced digital photography moving forward with this new technology and using this capability to create fine prints in both color and black and white. Elliot’s work includes travel photography, landscapes, documentaries, portraits, and contemporary studies.

1. How long has the business been operating and how did it start?
The business began in 1998 and was a direct result of over 20 years of learning, photographing and printing. I wanted to share the many things I learned with others so that I could save them from the pain of years of trial and error.
2. What is your company's mission?
The mission of M10319 is to simplify the learning experience, and educate individuals, in the practice of digital photography, to take them to photogenic areas where they can exploit what they have learned, and have it be an enjoyable experience.
3. What does your company specialize in?
M10319 specializes in a logical step by step procedure for going from basic to advanced photography assuring that the participant becomes proficient through field work.
4. Who is the founder or owner of the company and briefly describe his/her past activities?
Elliot Framan is the founder and owner of M10319. He has been in the field since the mid 70’s shooting and printing (wet darkroom), converting to digital in 2003. His focus is in landscape and travel photography and he has been in many juried shows, and is in private collections.
5. What is your most popular travel package and why?
The most popular travel package is the Scenic Northern New Mexico tour as it has so many interesting sights to see and photograph along with instruction. The Introduction to Digital Photography workshop has been very successful due to the flexibility of offerings, the material that is taught, the shortness of the workshop and the price.
6. What is the best compliment you received from a client?
The best compliment is that they now really understand how to use their camera to get a quality image and can move on with confidence.
