We are Montana's oldest continual operating wilderness outfitter established in 1937. Jack & Karen Hooker have owned & operated M10375 since 1969. We have the largest area to take guests to, in the Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex. Professional Associations: Montana Outfitters & Guides Association, Professional Wilderness Outfitters Association, American Business Women's Association, American Outdoors, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
We are located in Montana's famous Blackfoot River Valley (A River Runs Through It), near the town of Ovando, MT. Just 10 miles north of the ranch is one of the many "trailheads" (entrance) into the Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex where your Adventure Vacation is waiting to begin.
We specialize in Montana adventure trips that "rove" crossing the Continental Divide. Guests tent camp near a different river, lake, or mountain meadow almost every night. Sometimes we spend 2 nights at the same location so you can enjoy fly fishing, a special side ride (like to the top of the Chinese Wall), take a nature hike to see the floral and fauna, or just relax in camp for the day. Enjoy great meals prepared in camp with fresh food packed along on your trips by sure footed mules.
Schedule a nature observation trip or Montana eco-trip at our Danaher Valley Base Camp in the Bob Marshall Wilderness. Here guests take day rides on horseback exploring the wonders of nature. A professional naturalist will teach you about the high country ecosystem, the wildlife, the plants, the fish, the geology and the climate in a hands-on ecology workshop. You'll also learn about the history of the area, including Native Americans, explorers and mountain men who trekked across the wilderness.
Enjoy MT elk hunting and Montana deer hunting. Hunt on horseback from wall tent camps on guided Montana hunts for elk and deer. For your fully guided Montana big game hunt, all you bring is your personal gear and hunting equipment. For a "drop camp," hunters must also bring their own food. All camps come equipped with plenty of wood for cooking & camp eating stoves, "showers," wall tents and cots. |
