Capt. Scott Hataway has been fishing the Port O'Connor area Bays for more than 15 years. He has been a full time guide for the last 5 years. He does wade and drift fishing with live and artificial bait for trout and redfish. Capt. Scott also offers duck hunts on the bay flats in the area. The Port O'Connor area is the wintering ground for 80% of the redhead popultion along with redheads you can expect to shoot teal, widgeon, gadwall, pintails, blue bills.
Capt. Scott loves to wade fish with artificial lures for Trout and Redfish, but he knows at certain times of the year you can't beat live bait. When the Redfish run starts he can often be found at the Port O'Connor jetties targeting oversized Redfish. Capt. Scott also guides duck hunts in the back bay marshes of Matagorda Island. Sprigs & Specks can accommodate groups of any size and skill level.
