Owner Douglas Cole began guiding white water rafting tours in the Sierra Nevadas in 1968. In 1971 he was certified by the Pacific River Outfitters Association on the Tuolumne, Stanislaus and American Rivers. In 1979 he managed Action Adventures Wet-N-Wild and in 1980 developed the Cherry Creek operation for that firm. In 1981 Doug Cole established his own firm, Access To Adventure and began outfitting and guiding on 13 different West Coast Rivers, participated in the advisory council for the California State Parks and contributed in river preservation efforts with Friends of the River and the Planning and Conservation League.
In 1994 Doug and his wife Heidi expanded their operations to include guest ranch services at M11320. In addition to rafting, ranch activities include: equestrian riding vacations, back-country horse packing, Steelhead fly fishing, and full service lodging packages. Current whitewater activities are based on river locations that are accessible from our base at M11320 and include the Klamath River, Trinity River and all associated tributaries. |
