Constructed in mid 2001, Finca Punta was the realization of a dream many years in the making for the site's owner and creator, Aldo Rocco Paz. Having for many years run Quito's hottest and most legendary night spots, Aldo retreated to what was then the unspoiled peace of the small fishing/surfing village of Montaņita in northern Guayas to run a local hot spot.
However, as once tranquil Montaņita slowly grew in popularity, the natural surroundings got pushed further back and it ceased to be the virtually unspoiled paradise it once was. In search of a place where international travelers could meet and unwind in a fun atmosphere yet still be isolated in surroundings as wild and beautiful as the coast and mountains of Manabí, Aldo founded Finca Punta. Wild and isolated yet the perfect place to mingle (the site is already famous for it's monthly full-moon celebrations), Finca Punta is a dream come true for Aldo and for any traveler lucky enough to experience it.
Conceived, designed, and built to be a site where sustainable eco-tourism and responsible organic food production could coexist perfectly, the Finca has become the place of dreams for ecologically minded adventure travelers from all over the world. Accordingly, all who have experienced M11442 can agree that it is visionary in its aim and innovative in the way it has seen its own dream achieved. |
