Nestled deep in the Rocky Mountains, M12042 is a truly unique ranch experience for all seasons. The 500-acre property offers accommodation in secluded, spacious log cabins and deluxe lodge rooms.
1. How long has the business been operating and how did it start?
M12042 has been operating as a guest ranch since the 70’s. But the ranch was homesteaded in the 1920’s and operated as a hay ranch for the first 50 years. Guests originally started coming to the ranch for hunting and fishing.
2. What is your company's mission?
We strive to create a compelling guest ranch experience in a luxurious, but distinctly Western manner. Our goal is to connect heart with home, so guests leave feeling like family.
3. What does your company specialize in?
We are a luxury ranch, but our hallmark is the diversity of activities, both summer and winter. We also put a ton of emphasis on putting together the most dynamic, service oriented, but genuine staff each season.
4. Who is the founder or owner of the company and briefly describe his/her past activities?
Jerry and Peggy, the owners, enjoy playing with our guests as they take in the ranch experience. Ben Martin and Dace Starkweather share the General Manager role and are the hosts of the ranch. Both have a strong background in the dude ranch industry, and can ride, play guitar, sing, hike, bike, ski and snowmobile, among other things.
5. What is your most popular travel package and why?
Our all-inclusive vacation option makes planning a no brainer for our guests. They know what to expect, and how much it will cost. This makes it a lot easier to budget and plan for the trip.
6. What is the best compliment you received from a client?
That this was the best vacation they have ever taken. And, I always take it really personally when they tell me that they NEVER go to the same place twice, while they are rebooking their next trip.
