M13210 is a 16 bed luxury en suite tented camp situated on the banks of the Zambezi River opposite Mana Pools World Heritage Site and some 4 kilometers from the unspoiled and remote Lower Zambezi National Park. The lodge offers game drives in 4 x 4 vehicles, walks with professional guides, canoeing, fishing, boat cruises, excellent cuisine and personal service.
On the "wildside" of the lodge the chalets are linked by overhead walkways to allow for the passage of wildlife within the camp. On the "tame" side, the swimming pool is set in manicured gardens and overlooks the river. The deck and lounge nestle under a canopy of Tamarind trees of which their fruit is one of the favorites of elephants which frequent the lodge. Tiger fishing (drift and fly fishing) is the thrill and challenge of the great Zambezi River.
M13210 is named after the Nyanja word "Kasakasaka" meaning "An area of thick bush”. It is built into an amazingly diverse landscape ranging from manicured lawns to barren red clay banks, deep dongas and ravines with the beautiful Zambezi Escarpment as it’s backdrop. You may get to stay on the "Tame side" of the camp with the pool being a short distance from your chalet and where you can hear the hippos munching on the lawns during the night. To reach the "Wild side" one has to walk over raised wooden walkways, which are 8 meters high in some places. Here the chalets are cut into he banks and rugged terrain. The last chalet is the honeymoon suite, which has an open-air bath and it's own private view over the river.
All chalets are named after indigenous trees. Acacia, Baobab, Figtree, and Kigelia on the Tame side, and Mahogany, Rain tree, Tamarind and Wild Mango on the Wildside. The thatched lounge, dining and bar area sit up under a canopy of Tamarind trees - favorite food of the elephants, which frequent the camp. On the level below lies the library, which is the coolest spot in the camp. You can relax in comfort and watch the river flow by below you. The reception also hosts a small shop, which supplies items ranging from clothing and curios to toiletries.
