Spanning thirty-six miles of rugged and unspoiled shoreline, our lake is nestled amid a junction of flowing lakes and rivers, ultimately feeding the mighty Montreal River watershed. With so much water at your disposal, finding a quiet spot to wet a line or lazily paddle a canoe is never a problem. FISHING- For those looking to land the "big one," Gowganda Lake is the place to be. With a multitude of bays, islands, rivers and points, the fishing possibilities are limitless, while the pressure remains extremely light. Try your luck at landing walleye up to twelve-pounds, smallmouth bass that can attain weights of six-pounds and northerns that tip the scales at eleven-pounds.
HUNTING- Gowganda Lake is the perfect backdrop for hunting enthusiasts, with our camp offering the choice of moose, ruffed grouse and waterfowl as adversaries. M13620 is located in Wildlife Management area #40, a region that offers dense brush, open fields, back roads and plentiful watering holes - a mixture of hunting sceneries that will surely add to the exciting experience. |
