1. How long has the business been operating and how did it start?
We are beginning our 27th year. M13663 ranch dates back to the early 1900’s, sitting on the banks of the North Fork of the South Platte River it has always been known as a fishing & recreation destination as the train would stop & let visitors off. We opened in 1985 as a Dude & Guest Ranch. Received our Orvis Lodge distinction in 2008.

We are a traditional dude/guest ranch offering a wide variety of activities in the Majestic Rocky mountains yet conveniently located on hour from Denver. Stay a day or two or enjoy the entire week. We are also an Orvis Endorsed Fishing Lodge…world class fly fishing all footsteps away from your porch!
4. Who is the founder or owner of the company and briefly describe his/her past activities?
Dean & Karen May, owners since 1985. Dean has a Forestry & Surveying background, Karen a registered nurse. Fell in love & with dude ranching raised their two children Hayley & Tyler at the ranch. Time flies here we are 27 years later.
5. What is your most popular travel package and why?
Our weekly dude/guest ranch stay is still the best value & experience. Spending a week bonding with your horse, breathing the fresh CO mountain air, fly fishing or just watching the water flow by, being pampered like a king or queen, there is just a feeling of comfort & home. Getting away from it all yet not giving up the comforts of home.
