M13757 is magnificently perched on a rocky headland dividing two long seemingly endless, surf-swept unspoilt beaches of golden sand, backed by dense green coconut plantations, in the quiet-sleepy fishing village of Aturuwella in Bentota. One of Sri Lanka's first boutique hotels, M13757 has recently been extensively refurbished. Located just outside Bentota town it sits squarely on a rocky promontory. Though only 10 yrs. old it is built in the elegant, colonial style. The main hotel facilities are accessed from an open terrace giving superb views through the frangipani lined gardens to the vast azure Indian Ocean beyond. Rocky steps lead you down to the quiet, deserted bay. The professional team of staff demonstrates their experience and discretion as they welcome their guests arriving through the lush gardens which are enriched with tranquility pools.
The individual suites, bungalows and villas are scattered within the gardens, each with a dazzling sea view. Guests may choose to enjoy the peace of their own villa's sun loungers, 20ft pool and dining terrace. Life is very tranquil here, the sound of the waves breaking on the rocks below and the song birds as the only backdrop.
If your choice is to socialize a little, stroll along to the large infinity pool and central restaurant. For the more active, the hotel provides a wealth of facilities including a spa, gym, badminton, table tennis, indoor games, billiards and an interesting library.
A craft centre displaying a selection of tasteful gifts and jewels is situated by the entrance. Bentota is ideally placed to visit the south coastal villages, Galle, and the safari and rainforest areas.
