I have the official degree in Tourism "T.E.A.T" Técnico de Empresas y Actividades Turísticas by the private University of Deusto, in Bilbao, as well as, the official training course for being Professional Guide organised by Lan Ekintza, an institution under the dependency of Bilbao's City Hall. I became a professional guide in 1996, working for N.I.S.,S.L., North Incoming Service, the first agency in Bilbao operating the incoming tourism in the Basque Country and some areas nearby. In 1997 the company N.I.S., and its own team of guides including me, became the official guides at the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao. Since then I have been guiding different groups at the museum and also at Bilbao, a city in transformation, as well as, at some other destinations in the Basque Country. |
