1. How long has the business been operating and how did it start?
We have been in buisness by the same owner who founded the company since 1993.
2. What is your company's mission?
We put an emphasis on giving our guests the ultimate multi-sport experience through small personal groups, providing fresh locally grown organic food, using top of the line equipment, choosing the best inns and camp sites available in the San Juan Islands and offering expert local naturalist guides who make your safety and fun their priority. We pride ourselves on supporting local businesses, leaving no trace on all of our expeditions and giving back to the community through financial support of animal rehabilitation, whale research, school scholarships and volunteer work.
3. What does your company specialize in?
M14285 offers premier 2-6 day multi-sport kayaking, bicycling, hiking, and whale watching tours in the San Juan Islands; May through September. Our guests can choose camping or staying at luxury Inns.
4. Who is the founder or owner of the company and briefly describe his/her past activities?
Johannes Krieger founded M14285 in 1993 and is currently on the San Juan Island Parks Board and Marine Resource Commitee. He also recently was the project manager for the Friday Harbor Rain Garden Project. He coaches high school volleyball and volunteers for animal rescue programs.
5. What is your most popular travel package and why?
Kayak Camping 3-5 days. It is an affordable expedition that includes delicious food after a day of paddling.
6. What is the best compliment you received from a client?
This was my best vacation ever!
