1. How long has the business been operating and how did it start?
I trained as a professional guide in Oxford between 2003 and 2005 because I had a love of history and working with people. When I finished my training I set up my business to promote my services as a guide and show people my beautiful city.
2. What is your company's mission?
To promote tourism in Oxford and the Cotswolds by offering a personal, tailor-made service which puts the customer at the heart of what we do.
3. What does your company specialize in?
Sightseeing tours of Oxford and the Cotswolds for individuals, groups, clubs, companies and schools. We also organise corporate and private events in Oxford.
4. Who is the founder or owner of the company and briefly describe his/her past activities?
The owner of the company is Isobel Lewis. Isobel has worked in the travel industry for 30 years. She has worked as a tour guide in Europe, a Flight Attendant for a major British airline and as a professional Green Badge Guide in Oxford for the last 7 years. She speaks French, Spanish and Italian fluently and loves working with children.
5. What is your most popular travel package and why?
The two-hour walking tour of Oxford and the University Colleges is the most popular package. This introduces our customers to the University which has educated so many famous people, including kings, saints, politicians, scientists, authors, poets, actors and many others. It also visits film locations used for the filming of Harry Potter and Inspector Morse and the place where Alice in Wonderland lived.
