The Skipper and Owner of the yacht, Allen MacKay, built her in 1966. His previous sailing experience was in commercial diving and fishing on the east and west coast. The boat became a lifelong project. Build the ship then learn to sail her. Allen has spent the past 30 years sailing the west coast of North America.
The boat is a 53’ Gaff rigged Top'sail schooner with all the hospitality and amenities one needs for short and long-term sailing. Constructed in wood and traditional rigging with a complete galley, head and bunks along with the required navigation and radio equipment, she is a comfortable and sea kindly vessel.
