The yacht was built and own a 56 foot performance sailing cruising catamaran for the purpose of yacht charter around the northeast coast of New Zealand and the Pacific Islands during NZs winter. Skipper, Murray Ross designed the yacht to the highest standards and has sailed all his life (56) and around the world 4 times.
Murray and the yacht(Isis)are licenced to the NZ Maritime Safety Authority. Murray is a Marine Architect and is a Member of R.I.N.A. Murray's wife has sailed the NZ coast all her life (48). Sharron is an experienced sailor, hostess and chef.
The focus of our company is that you have a total sailing experience, whether you want to be part of the operation of the yacht, or just kick back, relax and race our model yachts, it's all catered for.
My wife and I run a professional crewed sailing catamaran charter business. We are very experienced having sailed all our lives. I have sailed as Navigator in 4 Round the World Races,86, 90, 94, 98. I have represented New Zealand at 2 Olympic Games, 72 and 76 and have won 49 New Zealand Class Championships and 3 World Championships. Sharron, my wife, is not only an accomplished sailor, but also a great social hostess and her cooking is fantastic. We are a real "team" aboard Isis.
For 7 years I ran Weather programs for the America's Cup. First for Dennis Conner's Stars and Stripes and then for Prada. I am very experienced with the weather and all our sailing trips are tailored to suit the prevailing weather conditions for the very best cruise. Your skipper, Murray Ross and the yacht Isis are both licenced to the New Zealand Maritime Safety Authority. Murray Ross is a marine Architect and is a member of R.I.N.A.(Royal Institute of Marine Architects) The yacht was designed by Murray Ross. |
