The Diving Center
Situated in the south of the Indian Ocean, Mauritius is well known among divers as being one of the areas in the world that has been spared from the worst effects of El Nino. Consequently the diving has remained exceptional, with many contrasting sites full of varied marine life to explore.
Located within the Belle Mare Plage, the Resort, Blues Diving opened in November 2002 and offers all the comfort and security essential to divers. With a thatched roof, slate floors and wooden fixtures, the natural materials harmonize throughout the reception, the classroom, the equipment room and the patio (where hot showers are available). The finishing touch is provided by a selection of Jean-Michel’s underwater paintings that hang on the walls.
The Equipment
Blues Diving is an authorized Scubapro (SEA) centre and has brand new Scubapro-Uwatec equipment. We mainly use 12-litre steel compact cylinders, but also have 10 and 15 litre tanks available. For the youngsters, 8 litre cylinders are provided. All our tanks are fitted with a single outlet scubapro stopcock.
