In our company tours you have the opportunity to visit our historical, cultural and landscape heritage in our National Parks, enjoy the sun and the beaches, and at the end of the day you can recover your strength with an exquisite dinner.
You can taste our famous wines, amazing cheeses and lovely desserts, and sample typical dishes of each region of Portugal. Travelling with our company will connect you deeply with the country, becoming part of its everyday life, observing details that typical tourists miss and enjoying spontaneous encounters along the way. You will rest in cosy and charming accommodations. We always choose 4-star quality hotels whenever possible in each region or Bed and Breakfast units. 1. How long has the business been operating and how did it start?
We have been operating since 1995. At the beginning it was almost a hobby and we organised bike tours at the week-ends for the Portuguese. In 2005 we created PortugalBike to show our country to people from all over the world. We have already organized more than 300 Bicycle Tours and more than 9000 people have ridden with us!
2. What is your company's mission?
Our mission is to show our beautiful country to whom visits us in a relaxing and yet challenging way. Travelling with M14710 will connect you deeply with the country, becoming part of its everyday life, observing details that typical tourists miss and enjoying spontaneous encounters along the way. M14710 Tours help you enlarge your horizons and your knowledge, showing you historic and archaeological evidences in the most hidden places in Portugal!
3. What does your company specialize in?
We specialize in cycling vacations, one-week programmes or special bicycle programmes on request.
4. Who is the founder or owner of the company and briefly describe his/her past activities?
The founder is Jose Neves (born in November 14, 1960), a very organised and perfectionist person, who loves cycling within nature and heritage with a mountain bike or a road bike. In annex is a picture as requested.
5. What is your most popular travel package and why?
Pousadas and tours near the beaches.
6. What is the best compliment you received from a client?

By bike, boat, foot, land, sea and van, we covered the city of Lisboa from top to bottom, ocean coast, cliffs, beach, islands, mountains 600m up, caves 60m under, castles, desert, farms, countryside villages, vacation hot spots, nature preserves and island, fancy hotels, manor houses, converted olive factories, ostrich farms, sheep herds and my favourite - Obidos, the city inside the castle walls, it's amazing. He was a wealth of knowledge about the country and the specific area that we were riding. Even the van ride to and from the ride was enjoyable with great conversation and information about the area. The lunch provided was delicious and far better than I imagined. The people of Portugal are very friendly and the country is beautiful and well suited to mountain or road biking. Our guide was friendly, polite and well informed about each area we visited. Most important, because we took the self-guided tour, we felt if we had any mechanical difficulties help was close by. The company thinks of everything you need for a healthy active sport holiday. After our first experience with M14710, we are already planning our next trip. We were extremely pleased with the professionalism and the selection of treks available. M14710 was also flexible to meet the needs of our family. The accommodations were super!
