The name of the company is M14728 and I am the owner, Patrick Whalen. I have nearly three years of experience as a professional tour guide. I am a member of a local professional tour guide association, the Guide Association of New York as well as being a tour guide licensed with the Department of Consumer Affairs of the City of New York.
I provide tours of all parts of New York but most of my tours are in Manhattan and Brooklyn. I have provided guided tours in a bus, limousine or by walking. I have experience leading tours of as few as 2 persons or as many as 35 persons.
I am knowledgeable of the architecture and history of Manhattan and Brooklyn. But I have customized tours to fit your needs or interest. Some of my recent tours have been a customized tour of Chinatown. The client wanted to know about the food, where the restaurants are and the location of the good shops on Chinatown’s dynamic shopping district of Canal Street. Another recent tour I conducted was of Little Italy and the boutiques of the neighboring districts of SoHo and NoLita (a small district of boutiques and restaurants).
My most popular tours are the walking tours of Midtown Manhattan and of Lower Manhattan. The Midtown tours includes Central Park, Trump Tower, Rockefeller Center, Fifth Avenue, Grand Central Terminal, Times Square and Madison Square Garden. The Downtown Tour includes Ground Zero, Wall Street, a ride on the Staten Island Ferry, a walk in the narrow historical streets of the Financial District and ends with a tour of nearby Chinatown including the Canal Street shopping district.
I am able to accommodate and to plan tours of any size (walking, bus or limousine) and to customize the content of the tour to fit your interests. |
