1. How long has the business been operating and how did it start?
The business has been in operation since 2000. It started as a family business, and still is, out of an idea to explore into new business.
2. What is your company's mission?
Our mission is to promote responsible tourism and to participate in the maintenance and improvement of the eco-system in East Africa, by providing diversified tourist products and services through a team of highly qualified and motivated staff, guided by ethical business practices.
3. What does your company specialize in?
The companies specializes in Kenya wildlife safaris, preparing tour packages to all kenya national parks, operating the safaris both by road and organizing local flights and air strip transfers from one destination to the other and also hotel bookings for Kenya beach holidays.
4. Who is the founder or owner of the company and briefly describe his/her past activities?
The company founder member is Richard. Richard, has been a business man for over 20yrs while Mary has worked for the Kenya Government but joined in the business in 2005. Mary now is the full time operator of the business while Richard focuses more on the two accommodations also owned by the couple, Ol Moran tented camp and the pelican lodge in Lake Elementaita.
5. What is your most popular travel package and why?
The most popular the 3 days welcome to kenya safari to Maasai mara, the 5 days taste of kenya and the 6 days discover Kenya. One reason they are popular is because a lot of travelers do not seem to have a lot of time for holiday and secondly they are affordable for most people not to mention that they give you opportunity to see a lot of wildlife without necessarily going to all the other parks.
6. What is the best compliment you received from a client?
One lady from the UK who had 8 days of wildlife safari in 2007 said "I have traveled to many countries, and met a lot of people, but the kind of service I Have received, from your communication prior to the safari, the reception at the airport, the safari guide, to the hotel staff, there is nothing like it, for a moment I thought I had an idea of what it feels like to be the queen of England".
