Our language school offers general language as well as professional and job-specific language training in private or groups lessons.
1. How long has the business been operating and how did it start?
The language school was founded in 1958, so we have 54 years of experience and competence.
2. What is your company's mission?
Our educational mission is preparing our students for future roles in their private and professional lives by teaching languages with a focus on cross-cultural competence in an international environment.
3. What does your company specialize in?
Language studies, especially German language programs for personal, academic and professional purposes.
4. Who is the founder or owner of the company and briefly describe his/her past activities?
Founded in 1958 by Mrs. Gladys Fisher and her husband Dr. Karl-Friedrich Fischer as the German Seminar for Foreigners. In 1981 the school became the German language department of Schiller International University. In 2010 the school was acquired by Ute Gleich, and in the same year the Collegium Palatinum became an affiliate of International House World Organisation. It is now called ih Heidelberg – Collegium Palatinum. The school offers study aboard language programs for personal, academic and professional purposes, and is an authorized test centre for TestDaF and telc Language Tests.
