We are proud to be known as the most experienced and qualified group of tandem pilots in the Western Cape. We have all been certified as tandem pilots by SAHPA (South African Hang- and Paragliding Association).
Rob de Villiers-Roux has 12 years experience and over 4000 tandem flights to his name. He has worked and flown extensively around the world including the UK, India, Nepal, and Turkey (where he co-owned a successful tandem paragliding company). He is the 'strong man' of our team, specialising in easy launches and accurate landings. He is always willing to do aerobatics if you fancy a bit of an adrenalin rush!
Peter Wallenda is one of the founding members of paragliding in South Africa, with over 15 years experience as an active instructor. He has represented SA in the World Paragliding Champs and ran a successful paragliding manufacturing company, Wallendair, which now produces power-kites. He has flown extensively in Europe, America and South Africa.
Carolina Rocchinotti ran Cape Town's first paragliding school with Pete Wallenda, she has 15 years experience and is a highly competent pilot, having flown both in Europe and all over South Africa. The first woman to fly off Table Mountain! Carolina has an eye for fashion design, and she has produced a stylish range of Airteam clothing, available upon request.
Ian Willis has 9 years experience and has been actively running his own school and tandem business in Cape Town for the past 6 years. A born pilot, he is happiest when he is in the air, so he tries to stay up there! Many times champion of the Tandem class in the SA Nationals, his speciality is staying aloft in light conditions. |
