Captain Carl Grossmann works for the University of KwaZulu-Natal’s Programme of Geomatics as a Heritage Documentalist. Carl is the sole member and managing director of C & F Expeditions CC trading as M15696. Carl holds a Masters Degree in Environment and Development from the University of KwaZulu-Natal specializing in sustainable tourism. Carl was elected a fellow of the Royal Geographical Society in London in 2000 and has been an active fellow ever since. He is an active Rotarian in the Rotary Club of Durban Thekwini in district 9270. Carl helped establish, and is a trustee of the Malawi Volunteer Organization in Malawi. This organization recruits volunteers to assist in hands on social and environmental work in the poorest areas of Malawi.
