Our company won a 2004 Whitsunday Tourism Award and again in 2005 and 2006 the Significant Tour and Transport Operators Award. In 2006 we were also a Finalist in the Whitsunday Tourism Adventure Tourism Award.
In the 2006 Queensland Tourism Awards we were Finalists in both the Significant Tour and Transport Operators Award and the Adventure Tourism Award.
Our company specialises in the Bell 47 Kawasaki KH-4 and is owned by local identity Capt'n Pete Ryan who has over 7500 hours experience, ranging from search and rescue, oil rig worker transfers, marine pilot transfers, executive charters to world renowned photographic charters. The other amazing pilots are "Princess" Paula and "M squared " Mark. Operations are expertly run by "Mistress" Renee.
The configuration in the KH-4 positions the pilot up front with 3 seats behind allowing us to take 2 or 3 adults, or 2 adults and two children (weight limits do apply).
We have up to three Bell 47 Kawasaki Helicopters operating and a R-44. We generally fly with the "Airconditioned option", the doors off, giving our guests an amazing unobstructed view of the Whitsundays.
At the height of change in the tourism industry here in the Whitsunday’s, Capt’n Pete saw the launch of a new aviation company. He realised a niche market existed for a operator to offer highly personalised helicopter tours & transfer operations out of mainland Airlie Beach and therefore, established this company as a specialised company to fill the gap the competition had created.
A point of difference from our competitors was required. Attention to our clientele & the aircraft best suited to the tourism industry were targeted. The Kawasaki KH-4 “Bubble” helicopter is cost effective to operate & has the flexibility to carry up to three adults or two adults & two children. However, its selling point was that it has best visibility of any aircraft, enhancing a truly beautiful part of Australia. With the clear Perspex “Bubble” as the front view & the “Doors off” option for window seats, we set the standard for seeing the Whitsunday’s as they should be…… not through a window.
A thorough understanding of both the market & industry, combined with an innovative marketing plan has lead to broad product recognition & spectacular growth for our company since commencing operation in October 2001. The company currently has two “Bubble” helicopters & employs 5 team members with hopes of further expansion.
We operate unique tours & transfers servicing Airlie Beach, Daydream Is, South Molle Is, Long Is, Hamilton Is, Lindeman Is, Hook Is, Laguna Whitsunday & surrounding areas. Our tours range from 10 minute Scenic Adventures to half day exclusive picnics taking in the Great Barrier Reef, Whitehaven Beach & the Whitsunday Islands from the air.
