I'm Martina. I've been a tour guide in Prague and its surroundings since 1995. I began while still a student studying English at Charles University here in Prague. I graduated in 1999 and began working full time as a tour guide in Prague and the entire Czech Republic. Not only will I show you the sites of Prague, but I'll also share with you our history from the early times right up to the present, including the recent Velvet Revolution in 1989.

While Prague is a great city to visit any time of the year, there are less popular times and this is when I do private tutoring in English. I was born and raised in Prague and have lived here all my life. I'm eager to help you enjoy the beautiful and historical places in the wonderful city of Prague.

Questions and Answers

I will show you the sites of Prague, share with you our history from the early times right up to the present, including the recent Velvet Revolution in 1989.

1. How long has the business been operating and how did it start?

My business has been operating since 1996 when I got an official license to work as a guide in Prague and the Czech Republic while I was still a university student. After graduation in 1999 guiding and organizing tours has become a full time profession. I am an English language major.

2. What is your company's mission?

My mission is to provide personalized experience of Prague and the Czech republic and have satisfied customers. With small exceptions it is myself personally who prepares as well as guides the tours.

3. What does your company specialize in?

I specialize in private tours for intelligent visitors who want to learn during their travel. Among my clients are many Jewish customers to whom I show Jewish heritage of this country. I have guided art and history groups too. I have also a personal interest in architecture which I tend to emphasize during my tours (not difficult to do so while in Prague).

4. Who is the founder or owner of the company and briefly describe his/her past activities?

I am the founder and sole owner of the company. Past activities - guiding, tours organizing

5. What is your most popular travel package and why?

I don´t do packages. I provide tailor made tours.

6. What is the best compliment you received from a client?

Every time a client thanks me after a tour clearly stating his/her enjoyment and appreciation is a compliment for me. Some of these compliments have come in writing which is the real personal and professional treasure for me.

		Martina is passionate about her city/country and she knows things about them that is mind blowing. I went walking with her on a tailor made tour of Prague for ... view more two consecutive days and I was astonished at her having answers to 499 of my 500 questions during those two days. She is knowledgeable but also cares about what you want and expect about your tour. If you are more of an art, architecture, history etc lover and she will point out small things that you would never have seen but that makes you walk the days following a visit with her as if you actually were from Prague. I felt very much at home after two days with her and I found myself enjoying my visit so much more, it was all worth the very reasonable price. She speaks perfect english by the way and she is very reliable. To sum up: two thumbs way up from me.
