M16273 is a family based tour company established in Poprad - High Tatras in 1992. Our region is unique not only for the highest mountains of the Carpathians - the High Tatras, but also for numerous historical sights dating back to the era of late gothic and renaissance. Our goal is to introduce our clients to the beauty of this region as well as whole Slovakia.
Our clients are smaller and larger groups of travelers, who prefer authenticity to mass tourism, group leaders, who organize trips for their friends, individuals, and Alpine clubs. Then there are also the visitors to Slovakia with specific interests: people looking for their roots, students of architecture, lovers of nature, etc. We are proud to have the clients who have come back to Slovakia more than three times.
Our tours are based on quality. We live in Slovakia and we know it very well. That’s why we have picked up the nicest spots in Slovakia for our tours. In 15 years we have built up a network of reliable partners – mountain guides, hotels, restaurants, etc. But the main emphasis is put on our team of quality guides. They are mostly university students and graduates and also the graduates of bilingual secondary grammar schools. They will be your qualified and pleasant companions while knowing the culture, history and natural beauties of Slovakia.
Many areas of Slovakia are still untouched and authentic. Knowledge of native environment enables also to present our clients many hidden gems, e.g. wooden churches in Eastern Slovakia, unknown hideaways of the Carpathians or the contact with locals. We will take to places, where others could hardly get.

1. How long has the business been operating and how did it start?
The company was established in 1992. The founders spent their professional life in the High Tatras mountains working in in tourism, mountain huts, mountain rescue service or as mountain guides, so decision to start doing tours on our own just made sense.

4. Who is the founder or owner of the company and briefly describe his/her past activities?
Family business was started by Jarka in 1992, at a time when the socialist era ended but Czechoslovakia still existed. At present Ondrej is the company leader. He joined the company after graduating at the University of Economics in Bratislava. He is enthusiastic for hiking, biking and ski touring. He speaks English, Russian and German.
5. What is your most popular travel package and why?
Hiking in Slovakia - the best of the Slovak mountains
The tour presents on a relatively small area the most scenic parts of the Slovak mountains. The tour leads through 5 national parks with a great diversity – from narrow gorges along grassy highlands, to rocky peaks.
